Tomorrow Lily gets her first round of vaccinations. I've always been a little nervous about it. No one wants to witness their baby in pain or distress. But tonight I'm kind of a trainwreck over it, and it doesn't help that today was a particularly hard and weird day in Mommyland. I made the mistake of looking up tips and advice for baby's first round of shots and was met with nothing but horror stories. According to the Internet and its infinite wisdom, at best she'll be crying, feverish and relentlessly sleepy to the point of the total bastardization of whatever sleep schedule has been developed over the course of 2 months. At worst...well...we won't go there. I'm holding out for better. I know (and hate) that the shots will hurt her, but have my fingers and toes and eyes crossed and have prayed that they won't do much worse than that. My poor baby girl. I promise we are only doing this because we believe it is what's best for you. We love you Lilyb...
